Limit switch selection

To make the most out a limit switch, a limit switch should provide a NO contact and a NC contact. The NC contact is normally connected to the ESTOP chain while the NO contact could be used to signal other logic, for example to signal directly the servo drive. This approach can be versatile in the build process. A Schneider Osiswitch was selected due to its availability, quality and price range.

Cable selection

A 4x1.5mm^2, un-shielded cable was selected to be used with the limit switches. It was available numbered cable (1,2,3 + ground). It was not the perfect choice as it included a marked as ground wire.

Wiring details

Cable wire marked 1 and 2 were connected to NC while number 3 and yellow were connected to NO.
